HI, I'M NATALIE
Social media marketing to INCREASE salon sales can be CHALLENGING nowadays.
Social media platforms quickly EVOLVE to and sometimes it can be difficult to catch up.
Also, the market has become quite COMPETITIVE, and it’s hard to stand out when you ADVERTISE your business or brand on social media.
Being an ex-salon owner, I have learned the tricks and STRATEGIES that can help SALON OWNERS run social media marketing LIKE A PRO.
I’ve decided to share with you my SECRETS on how to increase your salon’s sales using social media!
1. Run Ads Designed for your Ideal Salon Clients
Create ads specially tailored to your target clients. This means you MUST know your salon’s IDEAL CLIENTS.
ONLY market to your ideal clients. It’s a waste and there is no point in running ads that target a GENERAL audience.
Now that Facebook owns Instagram, it is convenient to run adverts on both platforms SIMULTANEOUSLY.
2. Share your favorite salon products
There’s a reason why users follow your salon’s social media profiles. It is either they are your LOYAL clients or they like the content that you make.
You can also share products that you like and use in your salon. It’s a great way to NETWORK with brands.
You can simply REPOST content from the brands you carry and share important details about why you TRUST it!
3. Use salon-related motivational posts
Create motivational or fun quotes with your salon’s logo or website URL as watermarks that your audience can potentially share.
This will help SPREAD your content all over social media and bring AWARENESS to your brand.
Make sure that these QUOTES and posts are RELEVANT to the salon industry and that they align with your brand.
4. Add a link to your Salon Website on Instagram bio
If your salon business has a website, do not forget to add a LINK in your Instagram bio.
Letting your FOLLOWERS know that you have a website will reassure them of how SERIOUS you are as a business.
If you do SALON BOOKINGS through your salon website, then it is all the more IMPORTANT to add a link to your Instagram bio.
From time to time, make sure to add a call-to-action (CTA) on your captions to click the link of the website in your bio.
5. Repost Content from your Salon’s Clients
Posts that are shared by your clients or other users on social media are called USER-GENERATED content.
Whenever a user SHARES a content about your salon or anything that relates to your salon you should consider REPOSTING.
This type of content can be in the form of client REVIEW or appreciation (Like a SELFIE after a haircut or hair styling at your salon!)
It’s a great way to show your potential clients what your salon offers. It’s also another way to make them trust your salon!
6. Write Compelling Captions
Having great visual content is one thing, but ACCOMPANYING it with compelling captions is another!
Your caption should provide your audience with information about the post and also give them DIRECTION on what they should do next after seeing it.
You can be informative, funny, friendly, and sassy using the RIGHT words. Don’t forget to add EMOJIS too!
ALWAYS REMEMBER: a perfect social media post is COMPOSED of a compelling caption, striking visuals, relevant hashtags, and correct geotag.
