When you create an Instagram account for your salon, don’t forget to set or change it to a business account! The Instagram business account has SPECIAL features designed to help you manage your salon’s Instagram efficiently.

Instagram Insights

It’s the most helpful feature/tool on Instagram to keep track of your social media PERFORMANCE! With Instagram Insights, you can check which post is doing well, how many have followed and unfollowed, and your salon’s strongest DEMOGRAPHIC.

This will help you DEFINE your market. You can also start creating your content SIMILAR to the posts that bring in the most ENGAGEMENT!

Notification for Instagram Story Mentions

You can now easily check who has mentioned you on their Instagram stories!

When your clients share short and quick videos related to your spa or salon services, you can easily check them out on the separate story mention notification, and share them on your salon’s Instagram stories right away! That’s FREE marketing content for you!

New Inbox Organization

When you switch your salon Instagram to business or creator account type, your inbox will be divided into two tabs–Primary and General. 

The primary tab is where you will find messages that you want to see first (ie. patrons to your salon, brands you work with, and so on) while on the general tab are not so much of a priority. 

This feature will make CONNECTING and COMMUNICATING with potential clients easier!

Close Friends Only Instagram Story

The ‘close friends only’ feature for Instagram story has potential in terms salon marketing strategy. 

You can use this to REWARD the followers that consistently engage with your salon’s Instagram profile.

Amp up your salon’s Instagram story using STICKERS! 

You can mention an account (maybe a partner brand), add your location, the time & date, and, my favourite, GIFs! 

Did you know that you can create a CUSTOMISED sticker for your salon and upload it on GIPHY? Of course, some rules and requirements are needed to be followed to get your stickers approved but this is a great way to keep your BRANDING using Instagram stories!

Instagram Shopping

If you sell physical products on your website, making your Instagram “SHOPPABLE” is a great way to increase your sales. 

You can post pictures of your products on Instagram and simply tag the products so your followers can TAP AND SHOP! EASY! 

Keep in mind though that only physical goods are allowed on Instagram shopping.

Countdown Sticker for Instagram Stories

If you are LAUNCHING a new product or service for your salon, you can use the countdown sticker to help remind your follower and potential clients!
